A 30-year-old commercial inspired a new play.

A Buffalo-based personal injury law firm, Cellino and Barnes, became famous 30 years ago thanks to their catchy commerical. It inspired skits on Saturday Night Live, social media challenges and now, a new play in the city.

Cellino v Barnes is a comedic play based on the real-life breakup of famous injury attorneys Ross Cellino and Steven Barnes. The play highlights their split, their business and how they came up with the famous commercial.

The play takes place on 320 West 23rd Street on select days from April 13 through May 7.

Comedy writers and actors Michael Breen and David Rafailedes joined Rocco Vertuccio Saturday morning on NY1 to talk about the show. And they were joined by Cellino, the sole surviving partner of the firm, who suprised Breen and Rafailedes during their interview.
