DOC NYC begins today. It is the largest documentary film festival in the country and it is a chance to see the newest docs on just about every subject you can imagine, from food and music to politics and religion. Women’s Suffrage Centennial Celebration
Let's celebrate the Women's Suffrage Centennial with a fantastic concert at Cooper Union. So many great performers on the bill, but I am most excited about Harsh Crowd, an up and coming rock group made of four 12-year-old New York Musicians. The event is called “Declaration of Sentiments: The Remix.” Tickets are 45 dollars.

Performa15 Arts Festival
Performa 15 is a multi-disciplinary arts festival. It brings together more than 30 artists from around and attempts to break down the boundaries between various art forms. There are events taking place all over the city Now through November 22. Check out the full schedule online.

The Salon Art + Design at The Park Avenue Armory
The Salon Art + Design show at the Park Avenue Armory November runs now through Monday. Throughout the vast space, you can see some of the top galleries from around the world highlighting historical, modern and contemporary art and design. Tickets start at 22 dollars.

Pangea Jazz Fest at Drom
Sunday all day the Pangea Jazz fest celebrates world jazz from 2 p.m. through 2 a.m. at Drom. It’s 10 bands in 12 hours. Tickets start at 28 dollars.
