One construction worker was killed and another was injured when they fell off of an elevated boom lift at a Manhattan construction site, the Department of Buildings said Thursday.

Officials say it happened around 2 p.m. Thursday at 400 West 33rd Street in Midtown.

Sources tell NY1 the workers were at about the third-floor level when they fell out of the lift.

Police say one worker suffered body trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

They say the other suffered head and body trauma and was transported to Bellevue Hospital. He is in stable condition.

Neither worker has been identified by police. The NYPD says they are both 45 years old.

This was the day's second death at a construction site. A worker died after falling 27 stories in downtown Manhattan Thursday morning.
