An artist known for patriotic flags featuring a giant letter "T" emblazoned with the stars and stripes in support of then Presidential candidate Donald Trump is using his art to spotlight another one of his passions - autism awareness.

Scott LoBaido, the self-proclaimed creative patriot, has a new piece titled "Breaking Through Barriers". The installation is on display at Historic Richmond Town as part of autism awareness month.   It features blue figures and lights up at night.

The artist says "the figures I made are very simple. The beauty..it's like a cocoon. The cocoon is not a pretty thing, you know it's an unflattering looking thing, but inside is the beautiful butterfly that is striving to come out."

The display will be up through the month of April.  Historic Richmond Town will also be hosting Sensory Sundays with tours geared towards people on the spectrum.
