A Staten Island man is dead after police say he was punched by a teenager and fell onto the tracks at a Brooklyn subway station Wednesday.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Jay Street-MetroTech stop on the R line.

Police say 65-year-old Jacinto Suarez got into an argument with an 18-year-old who was mumbling to himself about good and evil.

Suarez had apparently told the teen to leave him alone.

That's when investigators say he sucker-punched Suarez, who fell to the tracks.

He was pulled back to the platform by straphangers, but later died at the hospital.

Charges are pending against the teenager.

Published reports say Suarez had 10 children and 13 grandchildren.
