City officials up for election met with Jewish community members Sunday morning.

The Council of Jewish Organizations hosted their 51st annual legislative forum in Arden Heights.

The event seeks to connect candidates to the borough's Jewish community.

Republican Mayoral Candidate Nicole Malliotakis spoke, promising to focus on local issues affecting New Yorkers.

Staten Island Councilman Steve Matteo and his democratic opponent Rich Florentino also spoke at the forum.

"We could be doing so much better here in the city of New York," said Malliotakis. "We are paying a lot more money in terms of taxes and not getting results."

The general election is on Tuesday, November 7th.
