A local performing arts group brings a classic play out of the theater into the great outdoors.

The Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre Company performed a Midsummer Night's Dream Sunday at High Rock Park.

Actors have been preparing since April on the classic comedy with a modern twist.

Director Frank Williams says he couldn't think of a better place to host show - even though he says it was a struggle at times.

Frank Williams is the director.  He says,

"It's challenging just to deal with Shakespeare but then to have to deal with Shakespeare kinda adds to that so this group of actors has been very brave and very adventurous."

The group's next performance is scheduled for August in Fort Wadsworth.
