A youth mentoring organization has set up shop here in the borough.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC officially opened its first Staten Island office Tuesday on Bay Street.

The organization helps keep children on the right track by pairing them with volunteer mentors.

Leaders say the group has been serving Staten Island kids for many years, but the new space will help them reach even more clients.

"It allows us to be able to service our families in the borough that they come from and number 2 it really allows us now to really focus on really reaching out to the community in a more coordinated way," said Hector Batista of BBBS.

Organizers say they are also looking for more volunteer mentors, especially men.
