An early Christmas gift for Islander fans — the team may be getting a new home.

Isles plan to leave Brooklyn, return to Nassau County

Newsday is reporting a decision on the potential new arena at Long Island's Belmont Park will be announced tomorrow.

The Islanders and the New York City Football Club have submitted competing proposals for the site.

The Isles are pushing for an 18,000-seat arena that would host 150 events throughout the year.

NYCFC is looking for a 26,000-seat open-air stadium.

Both plans include about 400,000 square feet of retail space.

The Islanders have played at Barclays Center since leaving Nassau Coliseum in 2015.

They have until mid-January to opt out of their 25-year lease with the Brooklyn arena.
