QUEENS, N.Y. - The New York City Police Department is investigating two separate shootings in Queens Friday night that left two people dead and one other person injured.

Investigators say officers from the 114th precinct responded to a call of shots fired near 30-06 Astoria Boulevard in Astoria around 11:30 p.m.

When they arrived at the scene they found two men shot.

Police say Anthony Edwards, 31, of Queens had been shot twice in the face.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital-Queens where he was pronounced dead.

A second victim, a 30-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to the groin. 

He was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.

Police say no suspects have been identified and an investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, less than an hour earlier in the night, police say a 20-year-old man was killed after being shot in the torso and leg.

Investigators say it happened just before 11 p.m. outside 84-01 102nd Road in Ozone Park.

Police say when officers from the 102nd precinct arrived at the scene they were informed the victim was transported privately to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he later died.

So far, police say no suspects have been identified and no arrests made.
