The mother of Chanel Lewis and her supporters shut down traffic on Queens Boulevard after the judge unexpectedly postponed the sentencing of her son in the murder of Karina Vetrano.

“My son Chanel Lewis is innocent,” said Lewis’s mother.” All I want for my son is justice for Chanel.”

Vetrano was beaten, sexually assaulted and strangled while she was out for a jog in Spring Creek Park near her family’s Howard Beach home in August 2016.

Lewis was convicted earlier this month after his first trial in November ended with a hung jury.

The public defenders representing Lewis now claim the conviction should be tossed because a juror is claiming jury misconduct.

The judge Wednesday agreed to hold a hearing on Monday.

Vetrano’s parents didn’t speak to reporters after the proceedings.

Queens prosecutors told the judge they have three jurors who swear there was no misconduct.

Lewis twice confessed to killing Vetrano and police say they found DNA evidence.

But Lewis's supporters argue the confessions were coerced, and Lewis was framed in this high profile case.

“Any collection of swabbing of black, hundreds of black men was swabbed. They can drop that DNA anywhere,” said Assemblyman Charles Barron. “And if you don’t think that we don’t think the NYPD is capable of doing that, you are outta your mind.”

The NYPD says it "painstakingly investigated the murder."

And the Queens DA’s office says it looks forward to the new hearing, saying it will prove the trial and verdict were fair.

If Justice Michael Aloise concludes there was no juror misconduct, Lewis will be sentenced on Tuesday. He would face life prison without parole.
