Basketball player Hamidou Diallo isn't just generating buzz for his skills on the court, his sneakers are also getting a lot of attention.

He plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder but hails from Queens, New York. The shoes he wore during the NBA All Star Slam Dunk Championship were a tribute to his home borough along with his boyhood hero and fellow Queens native Kenny Smith.

Diallo grew up in LeFrak City and buildings in complex are named after different places all over the world. You can see some of those names on his custom kicks including Peru, Melbourne, Copenhagen, and London. Diallo wore them when he leaped over Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal to win the competition.
