QUEENS, N.Y. - An overnight fire in Queens is now under control.

Flames broke out just before 2:30 a.m. at a five-story building located at 15-02 Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway.

It started on the first floor and quickly spread upstairs.

Firefighters say it was tough to put out.

"They had to do a lot of extensive work to pull the ceiling under fire conditions to get to it and then it was behind the wall, so they had to fid the fire on all fours, chase it around, and it broke out in various apartments," said FDNY Assistant Chief Joseph Woznica.

One person suffered a minor injury.

It's not clear what sparked the flames.
