Artist, Sheila Blunt, launched a new initiative to donate her original artwork to people moving out of homeless shelters. The retired art teacher has been painting for decades and after going through her collection realized she didn't have space to keep them. She has donated close to 30 pieces and says they are a welcome gift for a new home.

"I'm hoping, well, when they sit in their apartment or they come into their apartment it's like greeting an aesthetic friend on the wall and, you know, that gives me a lot of pleasure to envision," said Blunt.

She has reached out to other artists to donate some of their paintings.
