The city wants to educate residents and business owners on what to do if they're issued a summons.

The city's Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, also known as OATH, will hold a town hall meeting Wednesday at the Community Bridge Home in Cambria Heights at 6:30 PM.

The meeting will help the community better understand the process for handling summonses issued by more than 20 agencies including the Sanitation Department and the NYPD.

According to OATH 41% of summonses received in 2017 were dismissed.

The agency holds similar events throughout the year.
