For residents in Hamilton Beach it doesn't take a big storm to flood their streets

Here are some images from around the neighborhood, right as Wednesday's nor'easter began. That is why one resident is working with Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato to find a solution. Roger Gendron says he is setting up a meeting with the assemblywoman to explore flood reducing options for the area.

Homeowners like himself say they have seen an uptick in flooding since Hurricane Sandy.

"Over the course of the 25 years I've lived in my house it's gotten progressive worse. What used to be 8 inches of water in front of the house I now 18 inches of water in front of the house," said Gendron.

As a way to document the common flooding, residents formed a Facebook group to share photos and videos.
