Some young ladies and gentlemen in Queens are getting some help from the community as they prepare for prom.

Students and staff members at John Adams High School in South Ozone Park are currently running a prom attire drive.

They are requesting dresses and suits from the community. Organizers say between caps and gowns, prom limos and more, some students can’t afford an outfit to wear on that special night.

"It's just to kind of take any kind of financial burden off of them, let them be at ease and have fun, enjoy senior year like the way it's meant to be," said Tami Beneduce.

They will be collecting through March 29th.
