An actor from Queens invited children in the borough to a private screening of the new popular movie, Black Panther.

Queens actor Shomari, who plays one of the Jabari Drummers in the film, helped organize the screening.

It was all a part of the nation-wide Black Panther Challenge.

The online campaign encourages people to donate to help buy tickets to the movie for kids who may not be able to afford it.

More than 200 children involved in nine different community organizations were invited to the screening.

"It is showing these youth that they can be heroes as well, that there are people that look just like them that are on the big screen all over the entire world and that they can be heroes in their own way," said Showmari.

Each child in attendance was also given an allowance to purchase a treat of their choice to enjoy while watching the film.
