Family and friends will say their final goodbyes to a young boy who drowned last week in Queens.

A funeral was held this morning at Saint Pancras Church in Glendale for 11-year-old Anthony Perez.

Perez died last Tuesday after he fell through the ice of a pond in a Queens park.

Officials said Perez and another child were out on the frozen pond in Forest Park despite a sign for thin ice being near it.

Perez had traveled out about 50 feet before the ice gave way and he fell through, the city fire department said.

The other child then went to get help.

Fire officials brought Perez to Jamaica Hospital where he later died.
