Without some financial help it could soon be the final curtain call for a theater in Long Island City.

The Secret Theatre needs about $30,000 to make it through the next year or so. The theater's founder and executive director is asking the public to help raise $20,000.

The Off Off Broadway theatre hosts shows and children's theater classes.

The problem for the theater, as rents rise in LIC , ticket prices have not.

"I'm proud of what we did in 10 years. Really like to be able to carry on for another 10 years or more to keep doing what we're doing, " said Secret Theatre Founder and Executive Director, Richard Mazda.

The theater has until the first week of March to reach its goal.
