Things are heating up as western Queens prepares for a food-filled evening for a good cause.

Around 40 food and beverage vendors will be whipping up drinks, dishes and desserts for the 12th annual Taste of LIC June 6th.

Sweetleaf in Long Island City and The Thirsty Koala in Astoria are among the eateries involved.

Kaufman Astoria Studios will play host to this year's Taste of LIC, and unlike previous years, food will be cooked on-site.

Proceeds will benefit The Chocolate Factory Theater.

“Without the arts, you know, life really just isn't interesting. So The Chocolate Factory provides an outlet,” said Katherine Fuchs, Co-Owner and Executive Chef of the Thirsty Koala.

Rich Nieto, founder of Sweetleaf Coffee Roasters, said the evening will offer “a full belly, some laughs, a good time and a good scope of what Long Island City and Astoria has to offer.”
