Police are investigating after a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a teenage boy at a homeless shelter in Brooklyn.
Authorities say it happened around 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Family Flatlands Residence shelter in Canarsie.
They say 16-year-old Malik Belk approached the girl from behind and then raped her.
Belk is facing rape and sexual misconduct charges.
Police say they both live at the shelter.
The Department of Homeless Services says it's investigating the incident.
