The Long Island home where Vanessa Raghubar lived with her aunt is now a shrine to the 22-year-old who died on Monday following a 2 car crash on Sunday morning.

Authorities have identified the other driver involved as NYPD Detective Neville Smith, he is now accused of driving while intoxicated among other charges in the case.

"She is my baby and she'll never come back home," said Vanessa Raghubar’s Aunt, Esther Mongul.

Of the photos on display at Mongul’s home, most include both Vanessa and her half-sister, Maria.

21-year-old Maria Raghubar was also critically injured in the collision.

On Saturday night, the Raghubar sisters wrapped up a family dinner, celebrating Maria's 21st Birthday, and then headed out together with their boyfriends.

After attending a party, the foursome eventually returned to Vanessa's boyfriend's house in Briarwood.

Jonathan Samlal, Vanessa Raghubar’s Boyfriend, told NY1 that he was dropped off around 3:15 on Sunday morning.

"I told her you know to text me once you get home, ‘cause you know she always lets me know her whereabouts," explained Samlal.

But, Samlal told NY1 that the text never came.

Instead he got a call around 7 a.m. on Sunday and was instructed to rush to Jamaica Hospital.

It was only about 10 minutes after Raghubar drove away from her boyfriend's house, that her vehicle was rear ended by Detective Smith's BMW on the Van Wyck Expressway.

According to the NYPD, the crash sent Raghubar’s car into a tree and light pole before it came to a stop near the exit for Rockaway Blvd.

"The whole back of the car was smashed in, it’s not a car anymore," said Mongul of the wreckage.

The Raghubar sisters suffered the most severe injuries in the crash.

Maria's boyfriend, who was in the front passenger seat, was also hurt but not seriously.

Officials say Detective Smith was hospitalized following the crash but added that he has now been suspended without pay from his job with the NYPD.

Those close to the Raghubar’s told NY1 that they want to see Smith punished for anguish he's caused the family.

"I just hope that he is penalized to the fullest extent," Samlal said.

"I would really, really like to see justice," Mongul added.

Vanessa Raghubar, who just started a new job 2 weeks ago and would've graduated from York College next month, will be buried in the coming days.

Meantime Maria's recovery continues, she has another surgery scheduled for Wednesday.
