Volunteers in Saratoga Springs are bringing the holidays to those serving in the military overseas.

On Sunday, 40 volunteers prepared  600 care packages for military officers.

Founded in 2003, "Operation Adopt A Solider" provides soldiers the items they need throughout the year.

Two-hundred soldiers are scheduled to receive packages from the Saratoga location.

"It's very overwhelming but I appreciate everything we can do for the soldiers because they're fighting for our freedom," said Cliff Seguin, the group's founder.

Operation Adopt A Solider collects monetary and other donations throughout the year.
