DURHAM, N.C. - Oscar-nominated actress, Angela Bassett, encouraged people in the Triangle to get to the polls early.

She made campaign stops for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at Dame's Chicken and Waffles in Durham on Saturday.

Bassett says it's important to get out into the community and get everyone excited for Election Day.

Seeing these faces, it's like seeing family, seeing community, seeing love. It's a lot of love, lot of support, a lot of enthusiasm. Harness it all at the ballot, at the poll booth. We're bringing in our next president. One who's qualified. One who wants to get things done,” said Bassett.

She'll be making stops throughout the state for the next couple of days.
