Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza rounded out his tour of public schools for the week.

He visited Aviation High School in Queens on Friday, meeting with students who are studying metalwork and plane maintenance.

He also took part in some classes at the Young Women's Leadership School.

Carranza spent the week meeting with students, teachers and parents from all grade levels across the boroughs.

"Learning should be fun. School should be fun," Carranza said. "Now, it's serious business. Kids have to learn to read and write, and we have to make sure they're prepared for a 21st century. But students should have fun when they're learning as well. They should want to come to school and be a part of it, and I'm seeing ample evidence across all five boroughs of students doing just that, having fun while they're learning, and it's been a great experience."
