NEW YORK — Police are investigating after a group of thieves made off with $80,000 worth of merchandise from a luxury store in Manhattan early Wednesday morning.
Police say it happened just before 5 a.m. at the Givenchy store located at 747 Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side.
Authorities say a group of men broke in through the front glass door.
They took a number of bags and clothing and then drove away in two different cars.
No one was injured, but police say the security guard who witnessed the incident was shaken up and taken to the hospital.
No arrests have been made.
