NEW YORK - The seven-day average infection rate is now 5.12% for the city, according to the mayor’s metrics.

There were nearly 2,300 new cases reported yesterday and 165 new hospitalizations.
 


The state's coronavirus metrics shows statewide hospitalizations are rising quickly.

More 4,300 New Yorkers are hospitalized from the virus. That's up about a hundred from the previous day.

The state's seven-day positivity rate is below 5%, and according to the governor, the city is just below 4%.

Sixty-nine New Yorkers died Friday.
