A Manhattan woman is giving flowers new life creating a business that repurposes old floral arrangements.

Five years ago, 45 year old Jennifer Grove started "Repeat Roses", a zero-waste and sustainable floral waste removal business.

The for-profit company rescues flowers from corporate events, hotels and private parties and then puts them into hospitals, nursing homes, community centers and homeless shelters.

Since 2014 Grove estimates she and her employees have diverted more than 89 tons of waste from landfills and delivered more than 50,000 arrangements worldwide.

Earlier this year, Grove provided her services to British Royalty at an event for Meghan Markle.

The entire process is green from start to finish. Once floral arrangements are used again, they get composted so they won't end up in the trash.
