NEW YORK - Fire officials remain at the scene of multiple manhole fires in Manhattan.

Reports of the two fires came in just before 10 a.m.

It happened on East 32nd Street near Fifth Avenue in Midtown.

Fire officials say there are four minor injuries at the scene. Four are said to be firefighters, another is said to be a building superintendent.

The FDNY says they are working with ConEd crews to assess carbon monoxide levels in multiple buildings along East 32nd Street.

As a result of fires, buses are being rerouted on East 32nd between Madison and Fifth avenues.
