The New York Police Department cracked down on truck drivers taking routes they're barred from. 

Across the state, trucks aren't allowed on parkways according to State Department of Transportation regulations. 

Trucks aren't allowed on West End Avenue, either.

Twenty-seven truck drivers were busted on Friday morning at West End Avenue and 75th street,according to police. 

The 20th precinct teamed up with the NYPD's Truck Enforcement Unit and the New York State Motor Carrier Safety Unit for a three hour operation.

Eleven of those trucks were given full inspections. Thirty-eight summonses were issued.
