NEW YORK - An American man killed in a terror attack in Kenya this week had reportedly survived the September 11th terror attacks.

Jason Spindler, 40, worked as a business consultant specializing in emerging markets.

According to published reports, he worked at the World Trade Center in 2001 but was running late on September 11th.

He had just gotten off the subway when the towers fell.

Spindler was one of 21 people killed at a luxury hotel in Nairobi Tuesday.

Five of the attackers also died.

Terrorist group Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility.
