BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Two NYPD officers are being hailed as heroes after saving a baby who stopped breathing on a city subway this week.

Officers Charles Edwards and Damion Graham were in their car a block away from the Franklin Avenue stop when they jumped into action Monday night.

The 1-year-old child's father said he became unconscious after suffering a seizure on a downtown C train.

"At the time, I definitely felt like that could be my son. It wasn't easy for us but was able to grab the baby and start CPR," said NYPD Transit Officer Charles Edwards.

After performing CPR, the two officers transported the baby to an area hospital where he was able to make a full recovery.
