NEW YORK - Students from Parkland, Florida perfomed Tuesday night at Carnegie Hall, weeks after a mass shooting at their high school.

The Stoneman Douglas High School Wind Symphony took the stage as part of the New York Wind Band Festival.

The 65-player ensemble was one of six groups from across the country to perform.

The Florida students were invited to the festival before the February 14 shooting.

One of their bandmates, Alex Schachter, was among the dead.

Meanwhile, an alumnus of the school is honoring the shooting victims in Times Square.

Stacey Goldman asked to buy one spot from the Big Sign Message Company.

But the company offered to place the message on all of its boards Tuesday and Wednesday.
