NEW YORK - Federal authorities in New York say they have thwarted an alleged murder-for-hire plot.
The FBI says Joel Rosquette tried to hire a hit man to kill two neighbors at his Washington Heights apartment building and a Staten Island gas station owner.
The 50-year-old was arrested by an undercover agent posing as the hitman.
Authorities say one of the intended victims was under 17 years old.
Rosquette is charged with three counts of murder-for hire, and faces up to 10 years behind bars.
