Just days after he was spooked by an umbrella near Central Park, Arthur the carriage horse has "retired" to Massachusetts.

Three people suffered minor injuries when a horse-drawn carriage collided with a taxi cab last Sunday, according to fire officials.

The frightened horse took off, hitting several cars before wedging the carriage between two vehicles in front of the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Soon after the accident, the 10-year-old horse was brought to Blue Star Equiculture, a sanctuary that specializes in carriage horse retirement.

An NYC Carriage Industry spokesperson said the sanctuary has the resources to give Arthur the care he needs.
