The city is moving forward with a stalled plan to redevelop a Queens neighborhood near CitiField.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says a deal has been reached with the project developer to convert part of the Willets Point area into affordable housing.

That nixes a Bloomberg-era plan that included a shopping mall.

Last summer a judge ruled the mall could not move forward because it was proposed for land designated as park space and would have needed state approval.

This new plan includes more than 1,000 units of affordable housing, an increase of more than 200 from the original plan.

The new homes will be the first built at the site since the City Council approved the plan back in 2008.

Construction is expected to begin in 2020.
