NEW YORK - New data shows Staten Island might be the most New York borough of them all.

Census info studied by researchers at NYU reveal the borough has the highest percentage of people born in the state, with around 69.5 percent.

You have the best chance of meeting a born and bred New Yorker on the Island's South Shore.

Eighty percent of people there are from the state.

It's not clear from the data how many city residents were actually born in the city.

Brooklyn has the most overall native New Yorkers at 1.3 million people.

That only makes up about 49 percent of the borough.

The least "New York" neighborhoods are Sunnyside and Woodside in Queens and Midtown and Chelsea in Manhattan.
