Amateur performers took to a legendary stage in hopes of scoring some extra holiday cash.

The finals for the 2015 "Amateur Night" season were held at the Apollo Wednesday night.

Contestants — young and old alike — had been competing all season.

One of the youngest performers, a 10-year-old named Haruto Maeda, danced his way to first place and a $2,000 prize in the "Child Star of Tomorrow" competition.

"It was really fun and it was just great," Maeda said. "It was just fun performing because I love dancing."

"It was nervewracking at first because I didn't know if I was gonna do good or not," said singer Christian Guardino. "I always get scared when I perform here because it's such a big crowd."

"It was amazing," said singer Burgundy Williams. "It's more than what I wanted, well actually it's less than what I wanted. Wait no, it was exactly what I wanted. It was a dream come true actually."

First place in the adult competition took home $10,000.
