Expect increasing clouds with a low of 29 degrees tonight. Clouds will give way to snow during the morning rush. There may a brief period of mixing before the transition to rain gets underway around lunch time. Anticipate about an inch or so of snow before the rain washes it away. Since the snow will be falling during the morning commute, travel will be slippery and slower than usual. Rain that falls the rest of the day could be heavy at times with some minor street flooding possible.

Rain will taper off Wednesday evening and temperatures will drop back into the upper 20s Wednesday night. Temperatures will remain cold for the end of the week. Milder air is expected to arrive in time for the weekend with a chance of rain Saturday night and Sunday.
