A former student teacher admits to child pornography charges.

Jared Basko, 29, of Solvay, pleaded guilty Tuesday to promoting a sexual performance by a child.

State Police say Basko served as a student teacher within the Liverpool, Solvay and North Syracuse School districts during the 2016 school year.

Investigators say there has been no indication that the alleged activity involved any of the schools or that any students were subject to inappropriate contact.

He was accused of promoting sexual images and videos of children younger than 10 online.

As part of the plea deal, Basko is expected to get six months in jail.
