In the past few weeks, the city has seen a rise in positive COVID cases, raising the alert system to high, a designation that warns about the virus’ threat to New Yorkers. But there is no indication that the Adams administration will return to the use of any mandates. NY1’s Zack Fink, Courtney Gross and Juan Manuel Benítez discussed Mayor Adams’ messaging and hesitancy to renew masking requirements.

And as a state court prepares to finalize newly proposed districting maps, they talked about the potential primary showdowns between longtime Democratic incumbents in Congress and a potential run by former Mayor Bill de Blasio.

We want to hear from you, especially what you think about the next phase of COVID.
