BROOKLYN, N.Y. — One man is dead and another hospitalized after a stabbing in Brooklyn Saturday night.

Police say it happened just before 11 p.m. in front of 168 7th Street in Gowanus.

Police say after 19-year-old Jose Velasco was denied entry into a party, he stabbed a 25-year-old man in the chest, killing him. 

The other victim, a 21-year-old man, was stabbed in the back and is in stable condition at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Velasco was arrested and now faces charges of manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation is ongoing.
