BROOKLYN, N.Y. - A man was killed Sunday night in Brooklyn when his car crashed into a parked city sanitation truck and caught fire.

Police say 22-year-old Zackariah Johnson was speeding on the eastbound side of Cozine Avenue in East New York.

His car crossed over into the westbound lanes, slammed into the sanitation truck and burst into flames.

A passerby tried to save him by pulling him out of the vehicle, but Johnson died from his injuries.

There was no one in the sanitation truck he hit.
