Police are upping the reward for information leading to an arrest in the gruesome murder of a young woman in Brooklyn in 2018.

The NYPD on Friday announced it was offering $20,000 in the case of Brandy Odom. In April 2018, the 26-year-old was found dismembered in Canarsie Park near East 86th Street and Seaview Avenue.

Investigators said Odom died from a lack of oxygen.

This April, loved ones gathered in that very park to hold a vigil to mark one year since her death.

Odom's mother accused the NYPD of not doing enough to find her daughter's killer because she was African American. Activists and the family have implored anyone with information on her killing to come forward, fearing the case will go cold.
