BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted, then robbed a woman in the lobby of her Brooklyn apartment building earlier this month.

On New's Years Day, police say he came up to the woman inside the East Williamsburg building and asked her for money.

Investigators say he then pushed her up against a wall, told her he had a gun and put some sort of cutting instrument to her neck.

That's when he attacked and took her cash and debit cards before running off.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-8477, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
