The Brooklyn Public Library wants your help to come up with a name for a new addition to the library.

The library is holding a naming contest for the copper eagle that now adorns the Grand Lobby of the Central Library. The Brooklyn Historical Society donated the eagle to the library over the summer. It used to sit on top of the of the headquarters of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle Newspaper. 300 names have been submitted from across the city even as far away as Los Angeles and Montreal. The finalists include Dodger, for the Brooklyn Dodgers ,m Harmony since the eagle is the national bird. or how about Winged Wonder? The deadline to vote is 5pm Friday December 14th.
