B-Y-O-D means "Bring Your Own Dog" at an East Village coffee shop.

Boris and Horton bills itself as the city's first dog-friendly cafe.

The concept was brought to life by a father-daughter team.

They worked with the city's health department to come up with a way to have the dogs inside and also be able to serve coffee and food.

"This is very much a solution for dog owners who were sick of leaving their dogs at home or tying them outside," said owner Logan Mikhly. "Always very full of dogs and we've had a lot of customers who don't own dogs, but just want to be amongst dogs and everyone's very nice about letting them pet their dogs."
