CHARLOTTE -- Charlotte fire crews say a house fire early Sunday morning was intentionally set and one person has been arrested.
Jamie Ackerman, 37, is charged with first-degree arson and assault on a government official.
Crews were called to the home in the 5500 block of Queen Anne Road around 1 a.m.
Officials say the home suffered $50,000 worth of damage.
They say the fire left five people homeless.
The Red Cross is helping those displaced.
