BRONX, N.Y. — Police are asking for the public's help locating a man they say sexually assaulted a 13-year-old in the Bronx earlier this week.

Investigators say it happened Monday afternoon inside Crotona Park.

Police say as the child walked home from school they were grabbed, thrown to the ground and sexually assaulted.

The child's phone was also stolen.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and released.
